If there are two things I’m always shopping for it’s tops and jackets. While a basic black blazer is always great to have, they often wear out easily from overuse and aren’t always great for spring and summer looks. As for tops, my shirts tend to wear out way before my jeans do so I’m always on the lookout for casual chic tops.
I recently discovered Lyst, a London-based fashion site where you can shop thousands of designers in one place. It’s super easy to use so if I’m not careful I could stay on Lyst for hours. With summer coming into full swing, I’m finding that I’m low on tanks and tees so I’ve been surfing my favorite sites looking to build up my summertime wardrobe.
For those dressier days and cooler nights, I’ve also been on the lookout for new jackets and blazers. I’m still amazed how the right blazer can dress up any outfit. Since you should always diversify your wardrobe like you diversify your portfolio, you can never have enough colors.
Do I find great fashion lines? Or do they just find me? Either way, they leave me with lots to blog about. Having excellent taste in fashion can be both a blessing and a curse. Though my wardrobe and choices of gifts are top notch, my personal finances are in need of improvement. Aside from my love and deadication to fashion, I am also known for being bit edgy. Therefore, only the fiercest clothing lines can keep my attention. The heart of a collection it not in its design, but in its personality. I never wear anything without personality.
“Revenge is sweet, but it’s even sweeter in this relaxed fit crew neck.” My latest fascination is with Stacy Igel‘s fun and edgy Boy Meets Girl clothing line bursting at the seams with personality. With the recent introduction of Boy Meets Campus Candy Girl, the line has even more of a reckless casual luxury feel that should appeal to any sorority girl. For fall, I have my eye on the CoCo Hoodie in Olive. I intend on wearing it my next casual Sunday brunch. Having appeared on the pages of InStyle and WWD along with on the racks of Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales, it seems that I am not the only one who likes to put a little edge into their casual wear. Boy Meets Girl pieces have also appeared on Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries. I am hoping their next appearance will be in my closet.
For more information on Boy Meets Girl, find them on Facebook and Twitter. Get the behind the scenes scoop on the brand from Stacy Igel herself on YouTube. I sincerely love that they have a green office and that you get a free tote when you place an order on their website.
