Georgine has been one of my favorite designers for a few seasons now. I absolutely love her style and love it even more now thanks to her stunning Fall 2016 collection.
My favorite part about this collection had to be the diversity of the pieces. It included dark lacy/sheer pieces for night along with beautiful dresses and coat separates for daytime or more casual events. It was basically like seeing my entire dream wardrobe go down the runway. I simply can’t get enough of Georgine’s dramatic dresses, trenches and fur details. It’s kind of an obsession.
I’m so honored to have captured this Fall collection and to have been there to see it go down the runway at New York Fashion Week. I can’t wait to see what the talented Georgine comes out with next!
Back in September I saw Georgine‘s spring 2015 collection and became an instant fan of this incredibly talented designer. So when I was invited to see her fall 2015 collection make its runway debut, it was an absolute honor. I was in awe of the colorful furs, bold tones and statement jackets. This fall collection never ceased to have an edge. It even went as far as to give me Rose McGowan vibes reminiscent of her wicked performance in “Jawbreaker.”
Jay Godfrey added a pop of color to his Fall 2015 collection with elegant springlike shades of mauve, pink and purple combined with classic blacks and grays. Here’s some shots from his presentation at Lincoln Center.
I never imagined a world without Oscar de la Renta. So when I heard that he’d passed, I didn’t know how to process the news. Ever since I was a little girl watching celebrities walk down the red carpet alongside Fashion Week coverage on the Style Network, the Oscar de la Renta gowns were always my favorite.
No one has ever understood the female form or the elements of femininity more than de la Renta. His gowns wore by royalty, first ladies and movie stars will always bring out the elegance and beauty of the women wearing them. While this is a devastating loss for the fashion community and world, I’ll rest easy tonight knowing he lived the fulfilling life of a fashion genius.
