A few weeks ago (okay a month ago! I’m still getting caught up on blogging) I visited my sister in Baltimore. She moved there a couple years ago and loves it. I must say that I like Charm City a lot too. My sister’s neighborhood of Canton is filled with beautiful murals, art galleries and creative street art like the colorful milk carton lanterns (pictured below). Above I’m wearing my summer signature LOFT Lou & Grey Slinky Racerback Midi Dress. It’s really one of my favorite dresses from this summer. It’s so comfortable and stylish.
I’m a huge fan of Baltimore’s artsy side and unlike New York, the art for sale in the galleries is actually pretty affordable. The huge detailed murals and nearby Patterson Park make it a blogger’s and photographer’s paradise. I’m pretty excited to go back.
I recently spent some quality time hanging out at an amazing house in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan checking out some awesome products with some of NYC’s most fabulous bloggers. Complete with an indoor pool, this house was truly an urban oasis in the concrete jungle we know as New York.
Aside from meeting some really compelling people, I got my hair done by Caravan Stylist Studio, checked out the cutting edge Velvet Eyewear line and got a true feel for Lifetherapy’s mood-changing body creams, lotions and scrubs. I love how Lifetherapy allows you to choose your mood just by choosing a scent. No matter which you choose, all of their scents will help you escape into a relaxing, happy place.
Many thanks to TechStyle NYC for the invite. It was good vibes all around and truly one of the highlights of my summer.
When you can’t make it to the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore, the next best thing is Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City. This boardwalk style park resembles The High Line and has some of the most amazing views of Manhattan. I like to stop by at least once every summer.
When you’re looking to add some classic luxury to an outfit, nothing’s more on point than a saddle bag with vintage vibes. While I don’t believe in buying fake designer anything EVER, there’s no shame in jumping on the vintage-inspired trend on a budget.
If you’re someone who can splurge on the Chloe bag, go for it! You’ll get what you paid for just by the quality of the leather alone. However, if you’re anything like me and most people, the Chloe Crossbody is probably out of reach. When you can’t afford your dream designer bag, I always suggest going for something that’s inexpensive and unique and this Faux Leather Saddle Bag fits the bill (literally). Happy shopping and aspiring!
One thing I like most about Beyonce’s new Ivy Park fitness line is the prevalence of the number 4. Like Beyonce I was born on September 4th. For my fellow Virgo Queen Bey, 4 has been a significant number throughout her life and her daughter’s name Blue Ivy is a reference to the Roman numeral IV which means 4. While I’ve never met Beyonce in real life, I feel a special connection to her through our birthdays and now through this fitness line.
